Linda F. Burgos, Esquire

Linda F. Burgos lived in Lima, Peru for three and one half years, as a child, until she returned with her family to live in Illinois.  She graduated in 1983 from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a B.A. Degree in Political Science. In 1987, she obtained a J.D. from the Washington College of Law at the American University in the District of Columbia. Upon graduation, Ms. Burgos served as an attorney in litigation at a personal injury law firm.  In 1989, she founded the law firm, Burgos & Burgos in Montgomery County, Maryland. As a partner at Burgos & Burgos, Mrs. Burgos focuses on criminal, personal injury, malpractice, and workers’ compensation litigation. On behalf of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, Ms. Burgos organized, and participated in, District Court Open Houses, and legal fairs in Maryland to educate the Spanish speaking community in domestic, criminal, civil, landlord & tenant, and juvenile law. Ms. Burgos has taught at the University of Maryland University College since the Summer of 2002. Her bar admissions include Maryland (1987), District of Columbia (1988), U.S. District Court - Maryland and District of Columbia (1988), and the United States Claims Court (1989).  Ms. Burgos’ professional associations include the American Bar Association, Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Bar Association of Montgomery County, and District of Columbia Bar Association.
